WHIMSICAL TREES CHRISTMAS CARD!

Hi, Friends,

It is getting closer and closer to Christmas and my to-do list is still pretty long.  Hope you are getting everything you need to do done!

Today I want to share with you a card using the stamp set Whimsical Trees and the Whimsey and Wonder DSP.  The Whimsey & Wonder DSP is one of my all-time favorites—so many pretty soft colors and whimsical designs!  It is so pretty that you can really just let it shine, and not have to do much in the way of stamping.  So this is a simple card that turned out beautifully!

MY RECIPE:

     CARDSTOCK:

          Mint Macaron:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Soft Succulent:  4 x 5-1/4

          Whimsey & Wonder DSP:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

          Soft Succulent:  3-1/8 x 4-1/8

          Whimsey & Wonder DSP:  3 x 4

               SCRAPS:  Mint Macaron

               INSIDE:

                    Soft Succulent:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Mint Macaron, Soft Succulent

ACCESSORIES:  Tailor Made Tags Dies, SU Die Cut Machine, Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Rhinestones

The sentiment is on a tag which has been popped up using dimensionals.  Those of you who stamp with me know that I cannot make a card without using dimensionals somewhere on the card!

The inside is also very simple:

I simply stamped the single tree on the corner!

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Mint Macaron ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp tree using Mint Macaron ink on lower right corner of the inside panel.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere patterned paper (design) to Soft Succulent Cardstock; adhere to front of card base.

5.  Adhere patterned paper (trees) to Soft Succulent Cardstock.  Adhere to center front of card base.

6.  Use Soft Succulent ink to stamp sentiment on scrap of Mint Macaron Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

7.  Thread ribbon thru hole in tag.  Wrap linen thread around ribbon and tie the linen thread in a knot.

8.  Adhere tag to front of card base using dimensionals.

9.  Add rhinestones (see sample for placement).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I still have a few Christmas cards to share, so check back soon!

Happy stamping,

Linda
