GREAT TIDINGS CHRISTMAS CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

Today I am sharing yet another Christmas card; I have several new cards to share with you soon, so keep checking in!  This card uses the Great Tidings stamp set and the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty DSP.  I hadn’t thought about using this designer series paper on a Christmas card, but I saw some that Ronda Wade (another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator) had designed and thought it was a gorgeous combination.

Although it doesn’t show up on the picture very well, the DSP leaves are shiny and really make for an elegant card.  The picture doesn’t really do the card justice!

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Great Tidings

     CARDSTOCK:

          Rich Razzleberry:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Cinnamon Cider:  4 x 5-1/4

          Blackberry Beauty DSP:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

          Rich Razzleberry:  2-3/4 x 4-1/16

               SCRAPS:  Very Vanilla, Cinnamon Cider

               INSIDE:

                    Cinnamon Cider:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Very Vanilla:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Rich Razzleberry

DIES:  Wise Men Tidings Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies

ACCESSORIES:  SU Die Cut Machine, Dimensionals, Gilded Gems

The wisemen are stamped on scrap paper and cut out with dies, which makes it easier to line up on the card front.  The panel with the stamped images is popped up with dimensionals, and the sentiment panel is adhered flat.

The inside of the card looks like this:

I simply stamped the gifts on the lower right corner.

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Rich Razzleberry ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp gifts on lower right corner of inside panel using Rich Razzleberry ink.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere patterned paper to Cinnamon Cider Cardstock.  Adhere to front of card base.

5.  Adhere Very Vanilla die cut (from Stitched Rectangle Dies) to Rich Razzleberry Cardstock.

6.  Use Rich Razzleberry ink to stamp three wisemen on scraps of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Cut out using dies and SU Die Cut Machine.

7.  Adhere wise men to Very Vanilla die cut, beginning with the right side.

8.  Attach Very Vanilla die cut panel to front of card base using dimensionals.

9.  Stamp sentiment using Rich Razzleberry ink on scrap of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

10.  Adhere sentiment to front of card base (see sample for placement).

11.  Add Gilded Gems to sentiment strip (see sample for placement).

The Gilded Gems embellishments add a lot elegance to a card, especially when the DSP has a hint of gold in it.

Zoe and Chloe got new beds for Christmas; they got two, but here they are in the same one.  Togetherness usually doesn’t last long, though—I was lucky to get this picture!  They are growing fast, and learning how to get into more stuff every day!

I hope you guys are all doing well, and having lots of time to craft.  I am staying very busy getting ready for upcoming events—I have a Play Day this week, a card buffet at the end of the month, the Salvation Army Crop and a Play Day in February, so will keep busy!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy stamping,

Linda
