LOVE AND HAPPINESS VALENTINE CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

Today has been a busy day for me.  Among other things, I got to go set up my sale table for the Salvation Army Blessings/Angel Tree Crop that I will be a vendor at this week.  But I want to share another valentine card, this one using the Love and Happiness Bundle.  We made it at January Play Day, and it was also on the Card Buffet in January.

It is hard to see in the picture, but the heart is embossed with flowers.  The embossing folder is a hybrid embossing folder, which means that you can place the heard die IN THE EMBOSSING FOLDER, run it through the SU Die Cut Machine, and the heart gets cut out and embossed at the same time.

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Love and Happiness

     CARDSTOCK:

          Highland Heather:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Real Red:  4 X 5-1/4

          Sweet Talk DSP:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

          Sweet Talk DSP:  2-5/8 x 3-7/8

SCRAPS:  Blushing Bride, Real Red, Highland Heather

               INSIDE:

                    Real Red:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Gorgeous Grape

DIES:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Bouquet of Love Dies

EMBOSSING FOLDER:  Bouquet of Love Embossing Folder

ACCESSORIES:  SU Die Cut Machine, Dimensionals, Red Rhinestones

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Gorgeous Grape ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Adhere heart die to lower right corner of inside panel.  Adhere flower to one side of heart.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.  Add red rhinestone to center of flower.

4.  Adhere heart paper to Real Red Cardstock.  Adhere to front of card base.

5.  Adhere Highland Heather print paper to Real Red scalloped die cut.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

7.  Stamp sentiment on scrap of Blushing Bride Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

8.  Place a dimensional on the back of the right side of the sentiment die cut.  Add adhesive to back of left side of die cut.  Adhere to front of card base, over the bottom part of the embossed heart.

9.  Add Red Rhinestones to sentiment die cut (see sample for placement).

Here is a picture of the inside:

I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and that you use it as a day to do something special for someone else!

I have one more valentine card to share with you tomorrow, so be watching for it!

Happy stamping,

Linda

NUTS AND BOLTS VALENTINE CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

It has been another very busy stretch for me:  I held a card buffet on January 29, and have spent a good bit of my time since then putting stuff away, refreshing card boxes and getting ready for another event, the Angel Tree Crop at the Salvation Army.  You might have seen some of my before/after pictures that I posted on my business page on Facebook, Linda’s Paper Sunshine.  I had a couple of valentine cards on the card buffet and thought I would post them before Valentine’s Day arrives next week!

This project uses the Nuts & Bolts stamp set—I must admit I fell in love with these adorable robots as soon as I saw them in the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.  Here is my card:

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Nuts & Bolts

     CARDSTOCK:

          Highland Heather:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Real Red:  4 x 5-1/4

          Basic White:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

          Sweet Talk DSP:  1-1/2 x 3-7/8

          Real Red:  3/8 x 3-7/8

               SCRAPS:  Basic White, Real Red

               INSIDE:

                    Real Red:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Memento Black

BLENDS:  Real Red (D), Smoky Slate

DIES:  Stitched Shapes Dies (Retired), Circles Layering Dies

     ACCESSORIES:  Dimensionals, Rhinestones

These little guys are just too stinkin’ adorable!

I kept the inside super simple, just a couple of hearts in the lower right corner.  You can use the rest of the space to say exactly what you want to say.

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Memento Black ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp two small hearts using Memento Black ink on lower right corner of inside panel.  Color hearts using markers.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Use Memento Black ink to stamp sentiment and two small hearts on lower right corner of Basic White Cardstock.  Color hearts using markers.

5.  Adhere striped paper to left side of Basic White Cardstock.  Adhere Real Red strip to seam of patterned paper.

6.  Adhere panel to Real Red Cardstock.  Adhere to front of card base.

7.  Stamp robot using Memento Black ink on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Color robot using markers.

8.  Adhere circle to Real Red scalloped circle die cut.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

9.  Add rhinestones (see sample for placement).

I hope you enjoyed this fun card!  I will close with a picture of our sweet cat, Chloe, getting comfy for a nap in her hammock!

Hope you have an awesome weekend with lots of time for something fun!

Happy stamping,

Linda

EDEN’S GARDEN SENDING HUGS!

 Hi, Friends,

Today I am sharing a card we made at November, 2021 Play Day!  It uses the stamp set Eden’s Garden and some promotional Designer Series Paper (Ever Eden DSP) that I wish had carried over to the new January - June Mini Catalog because it is so drop-dead gorgeous!  It is a simple card, which is always good, but also is a card you can use for lots and lots of occasions.  The sentiment simply says “SENDING HUGS”.  Here is a picture:

HERE IS MY RECIPE FOR THE CARD:

     STAMPS:  Eden’s Garden

     CARDSTOCK:

          Soft Succulent:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Evening Evergreen:  4 x 5-1/4

          Ever Eden DSP:  3-7/8 x 3-7/8

          Ever Eden DSP:  1-1/2 x 3-7/8

               SCRAPS:  Basic White

                    INSIDE:

                    Evening Evergreen:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen

     DIES:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies

ACCESSORIES:  SU Die Cut Machine, Flowers for Every Season Ribbon, Dimensionals, Gilded Gems

I really like the metallic gold leaves in the DSP; it gives it a gorgeous shine and shimmer when you hold it up to the light.

The inside of the card looks like this:

On the inside of the card, I simply stamped one of the leaf designs from the stamp set using the Soft Succulent ink.  The Evening Evergreen/Soft Succulent color combination is stunning.

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Evening Evergreen ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp leaves on lower right corner of inside panel using Soft Succulent ink.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere patterned paper to Evening Evergreen Cardstock.  Tie ribbon at seam of patterned paper.

5.  Adhere panel to front of card base.

6.  Stamp sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

7.  Adhere sentiment to Evening Evergreen Cardstock.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

8.  Add Gilded Gems (see sample for placement).

Do you know someone who could use a paper hug right now?  Make a beautiful handmade card and put it in the mail to them!

Happy stamping,

Linda
