PLAYING IN THE RAIN FUN FOLD!

 Hi, Friends,

I wanted to share a card I made for a monthly swap I am in.  The group is organized into small groups, and each member sends a card to the other members once a month.  It is fun to get cards in the mail each month!

I used the stamp set Playing in the Rain and used the same fun fold I used for the Irresistible Blooms card I posted on March 11.

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS GIFT CARD HOLDER

 Hi, Friends,

It has been a while since I posted.  I had issues with my watermark and finally a sweet neighbor helped me figure out how to create a new one!  So, here we go!

Today’s project is a card we made a Play Day yesterday.  We had so much fun!  The card uses the Online Exclusives bundle Irresistible Blooms.  If you haven’t seen the Online Exclusives yet, go to stampinup.com to see all the new product.  You can still order it on a regular order, either thru me or by purchasing online (please remember to choose me as your demonstrator if you order online).  The product is just found online and not in a catalog.  Here is our project:

I saw this layout on Jackie Beers blog, blue line stamping.com, post dated December 27, 2022 and knew that I wanted to try it.  When I saw the Irresistible Blooms set, I decided that it was perfect for this layout! Here is my recipe for the card:

STAMPS:  Irresistible Blooms

CARDSTOCK:

     Daffodil Delight:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 1-1/4 and 4-1/4

     Flirty Flamingo:  2-3/4. X 5-1/4

     Hello Irresistible DSP:  2-5/8 x 5-1/8

     Flirty Flamingo:  2-1/8 x 3-15/16

     Basic White:  2 x 3-3/4

          SCRAPS:   Basic White

          INSIDE:

               Flirty Flamingo:  4 x 5-1/4

               Hello Irresistible DSP:  1 x 5-1/8

               Basic White:  2-3/4 x 5-1/8

               Flirty Flamingo:  1 x 5-1/4

               Hello Irresistible DSP:  7/8 x 5-1/8

INK:  Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam

BLENDS:  Daffodil Delight (Light), Petal Pink (Light)

DIES:  Irresistible Blooms Dies

ACCESSORIES:  SU Die Cut Machine, Pearls, Tear & Tape, Dimensionals

The inside looks like this:

The flap on the left side is a pocket that can hold a gift card, cash, check or a small picture!

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Adhere Flirty Flamingo Cardstock to inside of card base.  Fold the front of the card base shut and, centering the DSP, adhere the Hello Irresistible DSP strip to the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

3.  Adhere Basic White Cardstock to the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

4.  Adhere Hello Irresistible DSP to Flirty Flamigo (small strip).  Adhere to small flap on left side.

5.  Use liquid glue or Tear n Tape on each end of small flap to make small pocket (or adhere shut if you wish.

6.  Adhere Hello Irresistible DSP to Flirty Flamingo Cardstock; adhere to front of card base.

7.  Stamp sentiment to lower right corner of Basic White Cardstock (in landscape position) using Flirty Flamingo ink.

8.  Adhere sentiment panel to Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

9.  Adhere sentiment panel to card base (ADHERE ONLY TO FRONT PANEL).

10.  Use Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp flower on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Color using markers.

11.  Stamp leaves using Soft Sea Foam ink on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

12.  Adhere leaves to sentiment panel (I cut one leaf off to make a single leaf).

13.  Attach flower to sentiment panel using dimensionals.

14.  Add pearls (see sample for placement).

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Use the layout to make your own with maybe another stamp set and DSP.      I know that I will be making more cards using this layout—I already have some ideas!

Happy stamping,
Linda
