SPRINGTIME JOY EASTER CARD (CARD ONE)!

 Hi, Friends,

Here it is almost Easter, and so I wanted to share the Easter cards I have made this year.  I usually don't have time to make Easter or Spring cards, but since I have been pretty much at home, I have made quite a few this year.  Doyle and I are both fully vaccinated now, so we are cautiously doing a bit more now outside our home (yesterday was our two weeks since the vaccination).  All that said, here is my first Easter card:

I used a retired Designer Series Paper, Paper Blooms DSP, which was featured during Sale-a-bration this year.

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Springtime Joy

     CARDSTOCK:

          Seaside Spray:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Night of Navy:  4 x 5-1/4

          Paper Blooms DSP (retired):  3-7/8 x 3-7/8

          Paper Blooms DSP (retired):  1-1/2 x 3-7/8

SCRAPS:  Rococo Rose, Basic White, Seaside Spray

               INSIDE:

                    Night of Navy:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

INK:  Basic Gray, Night of Navy

BLENDS:  Smoky Slate (L), Old Olive (D), Seaside Spray (D)

ACCESSORIES:  Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies, SU Die Cut Machine, Denim 3/8 Ribbon, Dimensionals, Pearls

The inside of the card looks like this:

This picture is REALLY dark, and I apologize for the bad photography.  I even edited it, so please just imagine that it is Seaside Spray!  But it does show you how the inside looks.  The little flower image is from the Springtime Joy stamp set, and I colored it with Seaside Spray and Old Olive.

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp small flower image using Night of Navy ink on lower right corner of inside panel.  Color using markers.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere Designer Series Paper to Night of Navy Cardstock.  Adhere Denim Ribbon to seam of DSP.

5.  Adhere DSP panel to front of card base.

6.  Stamp lamb image on scrap of Basic White Cardstock using Basic Gray ink.  Color using markers.  Cut out image using Stitched Shapes Dies and SU Die Cut Machine.

7.  Cut rectangle from Rococo Rose Cardstock using Stitched So Sweetly Dies and SU Die Cut Machine.

8.  Adhere colored lamb image to Stitched So Sweetly Die Cut.

9.  Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink on scrap of Seaside Spray Cardstock.  Cut out using Tasteful Labels Dies and SU Die Cut Machine.  Adhere to Stitched So Sweetly panel (see sample for placement).

10.  Attach sentiment panel to front of card base using dimensionals.

11.  Add pearls to sentiment die cut (see sample for placement).

If you are curious about the stamp set I used on this card, it is on page 22 of the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog.  I also took a picture:

I have really fought with both my phone (taking and editing pictures) and my computer to get this post together, so I REALLY hope it makes sense!

I hope you like my first Easter card for 2021!  I will be back soon, hopefully, with card number two!

Happy stamping,
Linda
