DARLING DONKEYS BIRTHDAY CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

It has been an interesting week so far.  Yesterday, Doyle and I were able to get our first COVID vaccines!  We are excited!  And they have FUN bandaids!  It was the very first time I have ever been congratulated on getting a shot!

Just wanted to share another project with you today.  This one uses the Darling Donkeys stamp set, which is one of the products you can get free with a $50 purchase for just another few days (through the end of February).  The Oh So Ombre DSP that I used is also a Sale-a-bration product, free with a $50 purchase.

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Darling Donkeys

     CARDSTOCK:
          Smoky Slate:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
          Rococo Rose:  3-3/4 x 5
          Basic White:  3-1/2 x 4-3/4
          Oh So Ombre DSP:  3-1/4 x 4-1/2
               INSIDE:
                    Rococo Rose:  3-3/4 x 5
                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8
               SCRAPS:  Basic White, Smoky Slate

     INK:  Basic Gray

BLENDS:  Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink

ACCESSORIES:  Stitched Rectangle Dies, SU Die Cut Machine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

I fussy cut the donkey; it took a couple of minutes, but since I wasn't making 10 or 12, it wasn't that bad!

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Basic Gray ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp donkey stamp on lower right corner of inside panel using Basic Gray ink.  Color the rose using Blends markers.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

3.  Adhere the Oh So Ombre DSP to the center of the Rococo Rose cardstock.

4.  Use the Stitched Rectangle Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine to cut window from the Basic White cardstock.  Adhere Basic White window over Oh So Ombre DSP on Rococo Rose cardstock.  Adhere panel to front of card base.

5.  Use Basic Gray ink to stamp donkey on scrap of Basic White cardstock.  Cut out using paper snips.  Adhere donkey to left side of Basic White window.

6.  Stamp sentiment on scrap of Smoky Slate cardstock using Basic Gray ink.  Cut out using Stitched Rectangle Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.  Attach to front of card stock using dimensionals (see sample for placement).

7.  Add rhinestones to sentiment panel (see sample for placement).

Hope you have enjoyed today's project!  I have been creating a bit more lately, so plan to post another project very soon!

Have an awesome, creative day!

Happy stamping,
Linda

SENDING HEARTS PAPER PUMPKIN ALTERNATIVE VALENTINE!

 Hi, Friends,

Just wanted to stop by and share a cute valentine card with you today (even though it is after Valentine's Day)!  I fell in love with the snail stamp and wanted to make a card featuring Mr. Snail.  So here is what I came up with:

I also made a second card that was very similar, but had a different DSP at the bottom.  The reason I used two different DSPs was that there were two different card bases in the Paper Pumpkin kit.  I cut the card bases apart into pieces 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 and made 48 cards instead of eight!

The second card looks like this:

The other difference was that I ran out of the hearts provided in the kit, so I used the white hearts from the Resin Hearts Embellishments (January - June 2021 Mini Catalog).  The insides of the cards were exactly the same.

MY RECIPE:

STAMPS:  Sending Hearts (January, 2021 Paper Pumpkin)

     CARDSTOCK:

          Petal Pink:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Poppy Parade:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

          Pool Party:  3-1/2 x 3-1/2

          Paper Pumpkin Card Base:  1-1/2 x 3-1/2

SCRAPS:  Basic White, Pool Party, Poppy Parade

               INSIDE:

                    Poppy Parade:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

INK:  Memento Black, Pool Party, Poppy Parade

     BLENDS:  Pool Party, Poppy Parade

ACCESSORIES:  Ornate Layers Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Squares Layering Dies, Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine, Resin Hearts Embellishments, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

The inside of the card looks like this:

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Poppy Parade ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp "snail" on lower right corner of inside panel using Memento Black ink.  Color using Poppy Parade and Pool Party markers.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Use XOXO stamp and Pool Party ink to stamp repetitively on the Pool Party panel.  Adhere to top of Poppy Parade cardstock.

5.  Adhere Paper Pumpkin card base DSP to bottom of Poppy Parade cardstock.

6.  Adhere panel to front of card base.

7.  Use rectangle die from Ornate Labels Dies to cut die cut from scrap of Poppy Parade cardstock.  Adhere over "seam" of DSP and Pool Party cardstock.

8.  Use Memento Black ink to stamp snail on scrap of Basic White cardstock.  Color using markers.  Cut out using square die from Stitched Shapes Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.

9.  Cut scalloped square from scrap of Pool Party cardstock using die from Layering Squares Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.

10.  Adhere stamped image to Pool Party scalloped square.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

11.  Add rhinestones to snail square.  See sample for placement.

12.  Add White Resin Heart Embellishment to Poppy Parade rectangle.  See sample for placement.

I hope you are having a great day!  Today is sunny here, but not necessarily warm.  I will take the sun, though--love my sunshine!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy stamping,
Linda

HEARTFELT VALENTINE CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

Since it is Valentine's Day, I thought I would share the Valentine card I made for Doyle.  I found a card on Pinterest that I thought was perfect, so I CASED it.  CASE means Copy and Share Everywhere, and it is perfectly acceptable to copy someone's work, just always, always, always give credit to the original creator!  Amanda Mertz made the card I fell in love with; you can find the card on her blog didyoustamptoday.blogspot.com, post dated February 7, 2020.  Here is my project:

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Heartfelt

     CARDSTOCK:

          Night of Navy:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Crushed Curry:  4 x 5-1/4

          Pretty Peacock:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

          Basic White:  3/4 x 3-1/2 (cut 5)

SCRAPS:  Night of Navy, Basic White

                INSIDE:

                    Crushed Curry:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Basic White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

INK:  Not of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry

ACCESSORIES:  Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder; Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine, Heart Punch Pack, All the Trimmings Embellishments (Retired), Dimensionals

You might have noticed in reading through the list of products/dimensions above that I have listed BASIC WHITE instead of WHISPER WHITE.  The factory that manufactured Whisper White cardstock permanently closed during the COVID pandemic; Stampin' Up! had to hustle and find a replacement product for us!  Therefore, we now have Basic White instead of Whisper White!

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp small heart using Pretty Peacock ink on lower right corner of inside panel.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Emboss Pretty Peacock cardstock using Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.

5.  Adhere embossed Pretty Peacock panel to Crushed Curry cardstock; adhere to front of card base.

6.  Use Crushed Curry, Pretty Peacock, and Night of Navy ink to stamp arrows on narrow rectangle Basic White cardstock pieces.

7.  Lay arrow pieces on front of cardstock; when you are happy with the way they look, adhere to front of card base.

8.  Use Pretty Peacock ink to stamp stitched heart on scrap of Basic White cardstock.  Stamp sentiment in middle of stitched heart using Pretty Peacock ink.  Cut out using heart punch from Heart Punch Pack.

9.  Punch scalloped heart from scrap of Night of Navy cardstock, using punch from Heart Punch Pack.

10.  Adhere sentiment heart to scalloped Night of Navy heart.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

11.  Add Crushed Curry stars from All The Trimmings Embellishments (retired).  See sample for placement.

Here is the inside of the card:

I stamped the small heart stamp using Pretty Peacock ink on the lower right corner of the inside panel.  The colors do not show up very well in my pictures!

I hope you enjoyed today's project!  This card didn't photograph as well as I really like, and I apologize for that.  I am definitely not a professional photographer!

Happy stamping,
Linda

YOU ARE AMAZING THANK YOU CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

I have another card to share with you today!  When I received the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog, I loved the You Are Amazing Project Kit and the You are Amazing Stamp Set on p. 7!  Recently, I was in a real slump with creating anything resembling a card, and I remembered that I had this set.  I decided that I would just make up the card kit and hope that the process of assembling those cards would get me creating again.  So I pulled out the kit and started to put a card together.  I decided I really didn't like the way that the card looked the way that Stampin' Up! designed it, so remade the card.  Then, I took it a step further, and decided to make a second card with different Designer Series Paper and cardstock.  The card I am sharing today is one of those "second" cards, where I came up with a different color pallette and DSP.  If you are looking at the mini-catalog, the top left "thanks" card is the one I started with.  Anyway, here is my project:

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  You Are Amazing

     CARDSTOCK:

          Terracotta Tile:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Bumblebee:  4 x 5-1/4

          Ice Cream Corner DSP:  2-3/4 x 5-1/8

          Ice Cream Corner DSP:  1-1/4 x 5-1/8

               SCRAPS:  Whisper White, Bumblebee

               INSIDE:

                    Bumblebee:  3-3/4 x 5

                    Whisper White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Terracotta Tile

ACCESSORIES:  Stitched Rectangles Dies, Magnetic Platform, SU Die Cut Machine, Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

The inside of the card looks like this:

One of my favorite stamps in the You Are Amazing stamp set is the stars that I used on the inside of the card!  It is such a great, simple stamp to use on the inside of the card!

HOW I MADE THE CARD:

1.  Use Terracotta Tile ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp "stars" on the lower right corner of the inside panel, using Terracotta ink.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere Designer Series Paper to Bumblebee cardstock panel.  Tie Terracotta Tile ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack at the "seam" of the DSP.  Adhere panel to front of card base.

5.  Use Terracotta Tile ink to stamp sentiment on scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out using Stitched Rectangle dies and SU Die Cut Machine.

6.  Cut Bumblebee rectangle using Stitched Rectangle dies (the one just larger than what you used for the sentiment) and SU Die Cut Machine.

7.  Adhere sentiment die cut to Bumblebee die cut.  Attach to front of card base using dimensionals.

8.  Add rhinestones to sentiment panel (see sample for placement.

I hope you enjoyed the project I shared with you today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy stamping,

Linda

The Flower & Field DSP is one of the Sale-a-bration options that you can get for free right now with a purchase of $50 merchandise from Stampin' Up!  It is absolutely stunning.  If you want it, be sure to place your order soon, because Sale-a-bration only lasts until the end of February this year!

Hope you are having an awesome weekend, and that you enjoyed the project I shared with you today!

SEASIDE VIEW RETIREMENT CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

Just wanted to check in today and share with you a card I made recently.  It is a retirement card, but the sentiment could easily be changed to whatever you needed.  However, I liked the chair stamp for a retirement card--it evokes images of sitting by the beach, listening to the waves with a cold drink beside you and a good book to read!

MY RECIPE:

STAMPS:  Seaside View, Itty Bitty Greetings

     CARDSTOCK:

          Crumb Cake:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Misty Moonlight:  4 x 5-1/4

          Boho Indigo DSP:  3-7/8 x 3-7/8

          Boho Indigo DSP:  1-1/2 x 3-7/8

SCRAPS:  Very Vanilla, Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake

          INSIDE:

               Misty Moonlight:  3-3/4 x 5

               Very Vanilla:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Misty Moonlight

ACCESSORIES:  Stitched Shapes Dies, Circles Layering Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Misty Moonlight 2020-2021 In-Color Ribbon, Linen Thread, Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals

The inside of the card looks like this:

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp trees on lower right corner of inside panel using Misty Moonlight ink.

3.  Adhere inside cardstock panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Adhere Boho Indigo DSP to Misty Moonlight cardstock panel; adhere Misty Moonlight ribbon at "seam" of DSP.  Tie Linen Thread around the ribbon.  Adhere to front of card base.

5.  Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp chair and bird images onto scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock.  TIP:  I put both the chair and the bird images onto one clear stamp and stamped them at the same time.  Use Stitched Shapes Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine to cut out the circle.

6.  Cut out a scalloped circle from a scrap of Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Circles Layering Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.

7.  Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla circle to the Misty Moonlight scalloped circle.

8.  Stamp sentiment onto scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink.  Cut out using die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and Stampin' Up! Die Cut Machine.

9.  Adhere sentiment to scalloped circle panel.

10.  Attach the scalloped circle panel to the front of the card base using dimensionals.

11.  Add Metallic Pearls to sentiment die cut (see sample for placement).

In case you are looking for the Boho Indigo DSP, look on page 9 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  It is part of the Boho Indigo Product Medley.  The Product Medley comes with a stamp set, die cuts, DSP, ribbon and other embellishments.  However, if you don't want all of that product, the Refill Kit (153925 $23.00) includes the DSP as well as some of the embellishments included in the larger kit.  It is a beautiful paper!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card I have shared with you.  Hope to be back soon with another awesome project!

Happy stamping,

Linda
