DAINTY DELIGHT/LASTING JOY GATE FOLD POP UP CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

The card I am sharing to day is from our June Play Day.  It is a fun fold that I found the diagram from Nancy Thompson, createwithnancy.com, post dated February 22, 2023.  I did change the size of the center front panel a tiny bit, but you can easily change that up a bit to fit the image you are using.  We used the Dainty Delight stamp set for our flower image and the Lasting Joy stamp set for our sentiment.  Here is a picture of our card:

     CARDSTOCK:  

          Crumb Cake:  5-1/2 x 8 (follow score and cut directions on diagram from Nancy Thompson,

          SIDE PANELS:

               Pretty Peacock:  1-7/8 x 5-3/8 (4)

               Delightfully Eclectic DSP:  1–3/4 x 5-1/4 (4)

          CENTER TOP AND BOTTOM PANELS:

               Pretty Peacock:  1-1/8 x 1-7/8 (8)

               Delightfully Eclectic DSP:  1 x 1-3/4 (8)

          CENTER PANEL:

               FRONT:  

                    Pretty Peacock:  2-7/8 x 2-7/8

                    Basic White:  2-3/4 x 2-3/4

               BACK:

                    Basic White:  1-7/8 x 2-3/4

This is what the back of the card looks like.  The Basic White panel in the center gives you a space to sign your name and write a very brief message.

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Adhere patterned paper to Pretty Peacock Cardstock side panels.  Adhere side panels to front and back of card base.  Use sample to help with placement of panels.

2.  Adhere patterned paper to Pretty Peacock Cardstock (center top and bottom panels).  Adhere to top and bottom panels.  Use sample to help with placement of panels.

3.  Adhere smaller Basic White Cardstock to center panel on back of card base (This panel is to write message in and sign your name.)

4.  Use Night of Navy ink to stamp flower image on left side of Basic White front panel.  Color using markers.

5.  Adhere stamped panel to Pretty Peacock Cardstock.

6.  Place adhesive of your choice on center panel of card base.  While centering the stamped image on the card base, lay the stamped panel on top of the adhesive.

7.  Stamp sentiment on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Attach sentiment panel to lower right corner of front center stamped panel using dimensionals.

INKED AND TILED JUNE PLAY DAY PROJECT!

Today I am sharing with you another Play Day Project from June Play Day.  It uses the Inked and Tiled Stamp Set—it is sold as a bundle with two punches.  This project also features the Patchwork Pieces Dies.

MY RECIPE:

     CARDSTOCK:

          Pool Party:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4

          Lost Lagoon:  3-1/4 x 4-3/4

          SCRAPS:  Very Vanilla, Petal Pink, Inked Botanicals DSP

          INSIDE:

               Petal Pink:  3-3/4 x 5

               Very Vanilla:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

     INK:  Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral

     DIES:  Patchwork Pieces Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Timeless Arrangements Dies

     MISCELLANEOUS:  SU Die Cut Machine, Linen Thread, Classic Matte Dots

The Patchwork Pieces Dies are a bit of work; I cut one of the Lost Lagoon pattern, one of the Very Vanilla Leaf Pattern, then made two cards from the pieces.  But it is worth the effort!

For the inside of the card, we stamped one of the small flowers full strength, then stamped it again a second time without re-inking the stamp.  The same technique was used on the focal image with the larger flower.

HOW WE MADE IT:

1.  Use Lost Lagoon ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp small flower using Lost Lagoon ink on lower right corner of inside panel.  WITHOUT INKING THE STAMP AGAIN, stamp the flower image a second time just below the first image (called “stamping off”).

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Remove the die cut pieces one at a time from the Lost Lagoon Cardstock.  Use permanent adhesive to adhere each piece in place (they have temporary adhesive on the back).

5.  Wrap Linen Thread around middle of “die cut” layer and tie ends in knot.

6.  Adhere “die cut” layer to front of card base.

7.  Use Lost Lagoon ink to stamp large flower image on scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Cut out using circle die and SU Die Cut Machine.

8.  Attach stamped circle image to front of card base using dimensionals.

9.  Stamp sentiment using Calypso Coral ink on scrap of Petal Pink Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

10.  Adhere sentiment panel to stamped circle image; place half a dimensional under end of sentiment panel.

11.  Add Classic Matte Dots to sentiment panel (see sample for placement).
