HORSE AND SLEIGH CHRISTMAS CARD!

 Hi, Friends,

Today I am sharing my very first Christmas card for 2023!  Several of my customers asked to start Christmas early, so I pulled out the Horse and Sleigh stamp set which is found in our Online Exclusives.  That means that it won’t be found in a catalog, just in a special section at stampinup.com called Online Exclusives.  You can order the stamp online or through a regular order from a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!  Anyway, here is the card:

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Horse and Sleigh

     CARDSTOCK:

          Crumb Cake:  5-1/2 X 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

          Early Espresso:  3-3/4 x 5

          Balmy Blue:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8

          SCRAPS:  Basic White

          INSIDE:

               Mossy Meadow:  3-3/4 x 5

               Basic White:  3-5/8 X 4-7/8

     INK:  Early Espresso

BLENDS:  Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie, Petal Pink (L)

     DIES:  Horse ad Sleigh Dies

MISCELLANEOUS:  SU Die Cut Machine, Dimensionals, Rhinestones

On the inside of the card, I stamped the pine tree in Early Espresso ink, then colored it using blends.  I used the Mossy Meadow Blends to color each pine needle—makes it look really awesome!

HOW I MADE IT:

1.  Use Early Espresso ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.

2.  Stamp tree image using Early Espresso ink on right side of inside panel.

3.  Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.

4.  Use Early Espresso ink to stamp sentiment on upper right corner of Balmy Blue Cardstock.

5.  Adhere Balmy Blue Cardstock to Early Espresso Cardstock; adhere to front of card base.

6.  Stamp tree using Early Espresso ink on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Color using markers.

7.  Adhere tree die cut to left side of card front.

8.  Adhere “snow” die cuts to bottom of panel.

9.  Use Early Espresso ink to stamp horse and sleigh to scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.

10.  Color horse and sleigh using markers.

11.  Adhere sleigh runners to bottom of sleigh.

12.  Attach horse and sleigh to front of card base using dimensionals.

13.  Add rhinestones (see sample for placement).

Thanks for stopping by today to see the Horse and Sleigh project!  Hope it helps get you in the mood for starting your Christmas cards!

Happy stamping,

Linda
