White Christmas October Play Day Project!

Hello, Friends!

Today I am sharing with you a project we made at our October Play Day.  I saw this card on Pinterest and it is a complete CASE of that card designed and made by Louise Sharp (louisesharp.com.au/2014/09/Sketch.1.html, post dated 9/21/14.  Here is my card:


This card was special to me because for years we spent Christmas with extended family at a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN.  Each year we purchased a live Christmas tree and made decorations for the tree after we arrived at the cabin.  Because we had a hard time finding a tree after we arrived in Gatlinburg, we tied a tree to the top of our minivan and drove down the interstate with a tree on top of the car.  We got some interesting looks from other travelers!

INK:  Memento Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Real Red

Bright and Beautiful Play Day Project!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving with lots of good food!  Here are the pies (cherry and pumpkin) that I made for my family:



My Mom taught me to make a great pie crust and my Dad taught me to make a "deep dish" pie.  Daddy always referred to a thin pie as "jam pie" and wasn't fond of them!

Today I am sharing with you a project we made at our October Play Day.  It is a CASE of a project I made at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention.  Here is a picture:

Letterpress Winter October Play Day Project

Hi, friends,
First let me apologize for taking so long to get back to my blog, life just turned crazy busy for a while!  But here I am and I want to share with you a project we made at my October Play Day:


This card is hard to capture with just one picture, so here is another view:

I think it would be perfect to add a family picture to the space where I have a white panel!

My recipe for this card:

STAMPS:  Letterpress Winter, Ornamental Pine, Good Greetings

CARDSTOCK:
     Soft Sky:  4-1/4 x 11, run thru Snowflake Die (put end opposite the snowflake OVER the cut
          so it doesn't cut off the end) then score 4" from the end
     Lost Lagoon:  3-3/4 x 4
     Whisper White:  3-5/8 x 3-7/8
     All is Calm DSP:  3-3/4 x 4
     SCRAPS:  Whisper White, Silver Foil Sheets

INK:  Lost Lagoon

ACCESSORIES:  Snowflake Card Framelit Die, Big Shot, Glue Dots, Rhinestones
