Petal Potpourri March Play Day Project!

Hi, Friends,
Today I am sharing with you a project we made using Petal Potpourri at March Play Day.  I was very pleased with the way this card turned out.


The inside of the card was kept simple:


Here is my recipe:

STAMPS:  Petal Potpourri, Gorgeous Grunge, Better than Email

CARDSTOCK:
     Sahara Sand:  4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
     Whisper White:  4 x 4
     Something Borrowed DSP:  3-7/8 x 3-7/8
     Whisper White:  3-3/4 x 5
     SCRAPS:  Whisper White

INK:  Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand

ACCESSORIES:  Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Flower Medallion Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Very Vintage Designer Buttons, Venetian Crochet Trim, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Baker's Twine, Paper Snips, Sponge, Dental Floss Threader, Tombo Green Liquid Glue

I inked the Honeycomb Embossing Folder with the Crumb Cake ink, then stamped it onto the card front.  The "splatter" stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set was also inked up in the Crumb Cake ink and stamped over the front of the card.  I used a thin line of "green" glue to hold the gold sequin trim in place and then tied the Venetian Crochet trim just under the gold sequins.

Christmas Card!

Hello, Friends, and Happy New Year to you!  I hope that 2015 is a wonderful year for each of you!

Today I am sharing with you a card that is a direct CASE from the Holiday Mini catalog (see page 25) that I made and sent to a few friends:


This card caught my eye the first time I flipped through the Holiday Mini, and I knew I would have to make some of them.  The picture does not do it justice at all, it is beautiful in person!  Here is my recipe:

CARDSTOCK:
     Sahara Sand:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
     Typeset DSP:  4 x 5-1/4
     Very Vanilla:  3-3/4 x 5
     INSIDE:
          Cherry Cobbler:  3-3/4 x 5
          Very Vanilla:  3-1/2 x 4-3/4
     SCRAPS:  Gold Foil Sheets, Whisper White

INK;  Sahara Sand, Black Memento, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark

MARKER:  Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities

For All Things September Play Day Project!

Today I am sharing with you the second project from our September Play Day, which is a CASE of a project in the September/October issue of Stampin Success (a magazine for Stampin Up! demonstrators):


You can't really tell in the picture, but the Crushed Curry panel is popped up with dimensionals.  This is a quick and easy card.  I kept the inside of the card simple:


Here is my recipe:

STAMPS:  For All Things, Gorgeous Grunge

CARDSTOCK:
     Sahara Sand:  4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
     Crushed Curry:  3-3/4 x 5
     Very Vanilla:  3-1/2 x 4-3/4
   
INK:  Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand

MARKER:  Crushed Curry

ACCESSORIES:  Linen Thread, Color Me Autumn Washi Tape, Gold Basic Metal Buttons, Dimensionals, Dental Floss Threader

Tip:  It is MUCH easier to thread Linen Thread, Baker's Twine or other small threads thru a button or small hole with a Dental Floss Threader.  You can find them with the toothpaste/tooth brushes at most stores.  They are a plastic loop, there are about 75 - 100 in a case and cost around $3.00.
