Hi, Friends,
It is another beautiful sunny day today! I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving yesterday with lots of yummy food. We had a good day--we ordered takeout from Crackerbarrel, ate at home and then went to the Greenway for a walk.
We got the tree up (no decorations yet) and managed to get 12 Christmas cards ready to mail. So it was a somewhat productive day (although when I got home from our walk, I landed on the couch with my book and read to the very end).
Anyway, I have another autumn themed project for you today! This card uses the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and the gorgeous Gilded Autumn DSP:
MY RECIPE:
STAMPS: Beautiful Autumn
CARDSTOCK:
Crumb Cake: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Early Espresso: 4 x 5-1/4
Mint Macaron: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Guilded Autumn DSP: 3-3/4 x 3-3/4
Guilded Autumn DSP: 1-1/2 x 3-3/4
Crumb Cake: 1-3/16 x 2-9/16
SCRAPS: Early Espresso
INSIDE:
Early Espresso: 3-3/4 x 5
Mint Macaron: 3-5/8 x 4-7/8
Very Vanilla: 3-1/2 x 4-3/4
INK: Early Espresso
BLENDS: Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze
ACCESSORIES: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Magnetic Platform, Die Cut Machine, Basketweave Ribbon, Linen Thread, Gilded Gems, Dimensionals
The inside of the card looks like this:
I used Early Espresso ink to stamp the five leaves at the bottom of the inside panel, then colored the leaves using my Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze blends.
HOW I MADE THE CARD:
1. Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the signature stamp on the back of the card base.
2. Stamp the small leaves across the bottom of the inside panel using Early Espresso ink. Color using Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze blends markers.
3. Adhere inside panels together; adhere to inside of card base.
4. Adhere patterned Gilded Autumn DSP to top of Mint Macaron cardstock; adhere striped Gilded Autumn DSP to the bottom portion of the Mint Macaron cardstock.
5. Adhere Mint Macaron Basketweave ribbon to the "seam" of the cardstock. Tie Linen Thread around the Mint Macaron Basketweave ribbon.
6. Adhere the Mint Macaron layer to the Early Espresso cardstock; adhere to front of card base.
7. Use Early Espresso ink to stamp sentiment on Crumb Cake cardstock.
8. Cut scalloped rectangle from Early Espresso Cardstock using Stitched So Sweetly dies and a die cut machine.
9. Adhere sentiment rectangle to scalloped rectangle; attach to front of card base using dimensionals.
10. Add Gilded Gems to sentiment panel (see sample for placement).
Hope you are having a great Friday! Stop by soon to see my next project!
Happy stamping,
Linda
