OK, so it is December, and I am behind! Here are a couple of our October Play Day Projects:
PROJECT ONE:
I kept looking at the card in the Big Stampin Up catalog illustrating the Bright Blessings wheel, and used that as my inspiration for this card. Sometimes cards kind of take on a life of their own, which is how I feel this card came about. I really liked the way the Old Olive rickrack trim (from the Big Shot Tasteful Trim die) made this card "pop"!
Here is my recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Bright Blessings Jumbo Wheel, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Falling Leaves (inside sentiment)
CARDSTOCK: Cajun Craze 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (score at 4-1/4), Very Vanilla 2 x 5-1/4, Soft Suede 2-1/8 x 5-3/8, So Saffron 2-1/4 x 5-7/16; Scraps of Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Old Olive; Inside: So Saffron 3-3/4 x 5, Very Vanilla 3-5/8 x 4-7/8
INK: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze
ACCESSORIES: Jumbo Wheel Handle, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Color Spritzer Tool, Crumb Cake marker, Linen Thread, So Saffron Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Dimensionals, Tasteful Trim Die, Big Shot
PROJECT TWO:
This card was inspired by one made by Ilina Crouse on Stampin Connection (Stampin Up demo website), and I used a windowpane technique I found on Mary Brown's (stampercamper) website. I modified the windowpane technique slightly, and used a post-it note instead of scrap paper. I used by square punch to punch the post-it note, making sure part of the sticky side was punched out. Then I put the punched post-it notes where I wanted the windows to be, as you can see in the photo below:
I used a ruler to help make sure my windows were level, and to help with placement.
After I have my post-it notes in place, I lined up my punch with the post-it notes, punched out my windows, and was ready to make the rest of my card!
Here is my recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Jolly Bingo Bits, Teeny Tiny Wishes
CARDSTOCK: Whisper White: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4; Real Red 3-3/4 x 5, Whisper White 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 and 3-1/2 x 4-3/4
INK: Basic Black
MARKERS: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
ACCESSORIES: 1-1/4 Square Punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for looking!
Happy stampin and scrappin!

Monogram Swap Cards
I recently was part of a Monogram Swap that my friend, Ellen, hosted. Here are the two cards I submitted:
CARD ONE:
I really liked the way this card turned out; of course, I LOVE the Greenhouse Gala DS paper, and anything made with it will be a favorite of mine! One of the things I tried to do was to use different punches for my monogram, because most of the time I wind up with the scallop circle punch, the 1-1/4 circle and the 1-3/8 circle! Here is my recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Lovely Letters, Tiny Tags
CARDSTOCK: Chocolate Chip 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4, Baja Breeze 4-1/8 x 5-3/8, Greenhouse Gala 2 x 4-1/8, Scraps of Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip
INK: Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip
ACCESSORIES: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, 1-1/4 Circle Punch, 1-3/8 Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Metallic Brads, Dimensionals, Sponge, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Big Shot
CARD TWO:
I really like this card as well. After I had used all the Not Quite Navy cardstock and DS paper, I couldn't figure out what colors to use with the monogram, so I used my trusty Color Coach and came up with this combo! I really like it! My recipe for this card is:
STAMPS: Lovely Letters, Artistic Etchings
CARDSTOCK: Not Quite Navy 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4; Scraps of Whisper White, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Regals Patterns DS Paper Stack (Not Quite Navy)
INK: Not Quite Navy
ACCESSORIES: 1-1/4 Circle Punch, 1-3/8 Circle Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Square Due Die, Matchbox Die, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Basic Pearl Jewels
Thanks for looking at my creations!
Happy stampin and scrappin!

Another Birthday Card and September Play Day Project
I'm back once again! Like I told you yesterday, I have really been busy creating, I just need some time to photograph and post these to my blog!
Here is the birthday card I made for my daughter. It is a DOUBLE SLIDER CARD, and I followed a tutorial by LeeAnn Greff at http://flowerbug.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/07/double-slider-card-with-tutorial.html. It has a strip of plastic grocery bag or ziplock bag in it to make the slider work! Pretty cool!
This is what the card looks like closed, and below is the card with the sliders pulled out (you just pull on the white ribbon):
SEE NEXT POST TO CONTINUE . . .

Birthday Card and A September Play Day Project, Continued . . .
OK, I pressed the wrong button and got the first part of this post published. I can't seem to get back to it to add to it, so I will just post a second part!!! Here is the picture of the double slider birthday card open:
My recipe for the Double Slider Birthday Card is:
STAMPS: Long Fellows, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Define Your Life, Defining Alphabet
CARDSTOCK: Baja Breeze 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 1/2, 3-1/4 and 6, Pear Pizzazz 2-1/2 x 5-1/4, Greenhouse Gala DS Paper, 2-3/8 x 5-1/8, Whisper White 2-1/2 x 3, Peach Parfait, 1-5/8 x 2-1/8, Baja Breeze 2-1/2 x 4 (2 pieces), Plastic Bag strip 1 x 11, Scrap: Peach Parfait
INK: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Corner Rounder Punch, Crop-a-dile, Jumbo Eyelets, 3/8 Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, SAMJ, Scallop Rectangle Clearlit, Big Shot, Dimensionals
I thought that the Long Fellows animals were perfect for this card (or "purrfect" as the case may be)! See my previous post from today for the link to the tutorial for LeeAnn Greff's Double Slider card.
SEPTEMBER PLAY DAY PROJECT:
The last project we made at September Play Day is a card made with LOVELY AS A TREE stamp set:

A Birthday Card and A September Play Day Project!
I know I have been MIA, no real reason, except the usual busy days. I have been making a lot of cards, and will try to bring you up-to-date a bit.
The first project I'm sharing is a birthday card I'm sending to my daughter and my Mother. My Mother and my daughter have birthdays back-to-back, and both share a great love for tea, so using Morning Cup stamp set was a natural choice for their card! I had actually made a card for my daughter already, so I guess she will get two cards this year!
Here is a picture of my card:
The card has a little pocket on the front, just the perfect size for a tea bag. The little tag on the front says "tea"riffic, so on the inside, I wrote "have a 'tea'riffic birthday".
My recipe:
Stamps: Morning Cup
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2; Pumpkin Pie, 3-3/4 x 5-1/2; Whisper White, 3-5/8 x 4-7/8; Greenhouse Gala DS Paper, 3-1/2 x 4-3/4; Daffodil Delight, 3-1/2 x 6-1/2, score at 3-1/4 and again at 1/4 on both of the long sides (makes the pocket on the front); Watercolor Paper, 1-3/8 x 1-7/8; Scrap Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie marker
Accessories: Scallop Rectangle Clearlit, Big Shot, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, 3/4 Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Dimensionals, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Pumpkin Pie brads, Aquapainter, White DMC thread (non-SU), tea bag (non-SU)
This card is a CASE of a BEAUTIFUL card by fellow SU demo Carrie Gaskin. Her card can be seen at http://artisticavenger.wordpress.com/2010/10/08/teariffic/. I love all of her beautiful cards!
My second card for this post is one we made for Play Day in September. I really LOVE this card; it is beautiful, but a fast card to make (the very best kind)!
My recipe:
STAMPS: Christmas Collage, Bells and Boughs
CARDSTOCK: Old Olive 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2, Cherry Cobbler 4 x 5-1/4, Very Vanilla 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, Scrap Very Vanilla
INK: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake marker
ACCESSORIES: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Brayer, Sponge, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals, 1-3/4 Circle Punch, Color Spritzer tool
We inked up the Christmas Collage Stamp in Crumb Cake using a brayer, then used a sponge dauber to apply Old Olive Ink to the area around the "25", then stamped it onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. Very fast way to make a two color image from one stamp! I also used the "Merry Christmas" stamp from Bells and Boughs to fill in the blank rectangle at the right of the stamp. We sponged it with Crumb Cake ink and used the color spritzer tool to splash a bit of Crumb Cake on the image.
I also provided an option to put the Christmas bells from the Bells and Boughs stamp set instead of the "25" on the card. Here is what that card looked like:
This card is also a CASE of fellow SU demo Robin Merriman. Her card can be found at http://trinitydesignstudio.blogspot.com. I used her idea of brayering the ink and then using a sponge dauber to make the Crumb Cake/Old Olive work so beautifully!
It is always OK to CASE (copy and share everything) cards from other cardmakers, but be sure to give them credit! (Just don't use someone's work to enter contests or for publication.)
Thank you for visiting my blog, and hopefully my next post will be soon!
Happy stampin and scrappin,
Linda

September Play Day Projects, Part One!
Don't fall over or anything, but I am posting two of our September Play Day Projects today, the day after Play Day! We made four Christmas cards at September Play Day, and here are the first two.
PROJECT ONE:
This card uses the wax resist technique for the red background. I followed the instructions I found on Karen Graff-Poris' blog. We ran wax paper through the Big Shot in the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, placed glossy white cardstock (with the glossy white side touching the wax paper) on either side of the embossed wax paper, then ironed it with a dry iron for approximately ten seconds. Then we inked up a brayer with Riding Hood Red ink and added the color to the glossy cardstock. It is an easy technique and can be used with any embossing folder.
My recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Delightful Decorations and Season of Joy
CARDSTOCK:
Always Artichoke: 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
Riding Hood Red: 3-7/8 x 3-7/8
Glossy White: 3-3/4 x 3-3/4
Whisper White: 1-1/4 x 4-1/4
Scrap Whisper White, Wax Paper
INK: Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
ACCESSORIES: Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Ornament Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, 1/16 Circle Punch, Crimper, Brayer, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Iron
PROJECT TWO:
This card uses one of my favorite techniques. We inked up our brayer with Baja Breeze ink and colored the larger side of the Northern Flurries Embossing Folder with the ink. Whisper White cardstock was placed on the embossing folder and run through the Big Shot, and when you remove the cardstock, this is the result!
Here is the recipe for Project Two:
STAMPS: Perfect Punches
CARDSTOCK:
Whisper White: 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2
Baja Breeze: 4 x 5-1/4
Whisper White: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Scrap Whisper White
INK: Baja Breeze, Versamark
ACCESSORIES: Brayer, 1-1/4 Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Northern Flurries Embossing Folder, Basic Pearl Jewels, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder
I took this picture to try to show the little pearls better; I placed one of the little pearls in the middle of each snowflake. The "Joy at Christmas" is stamped twice, and middle of the stamped image was punched out with a 1-1/4 circle punch and heat embossed with irridescent ice embossing powder. This card is beautiful, but is a quick card to put together.
Thanks for looking!
Happy stampin and scrappin!

July Play Day Cards
Yes, I am behind (seems like that is the story of my blog . . . ), but I am working on catching up, so we will see how that goes! Here are two cards that we made at our July Play Day. I really like both of them!
PROJECT ONE:
This was my first card project using the new colors, and I was really pleased with the way it turned out! Here is my recipe:
STAMPS: Friends Never Fade, Season of Joy
CARDSTOCK:
Scrap Whisper White (trim to approximately 1-5/8 x 5-5/16 after stamping image)
Chocolate Chip: 1-3/4 x 2-7/16
Pear Pizzazz: 4-1/4 x 11 (score at 5-1/2)
Pear Pizzazz: 3-3/4 x 4-1/4
Chocolate Chip: 3-7/8 x 4-3/8
INK: Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
ACCESSORIES: Mini Library Clip, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Sponge, Sponge Dauber, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Metallic Brads, Hole Punch (non-SU), Paper Piercer, Mat Pack
This card is very similar to the one I posted in my last post, but I finished the bottom differently. For my swap cards, I didn't really want to punch all of the little pieces, and didn't have enough brads to do all of them, since my brad supply is short because of buying new ones for the color renovation!
PROJECT TWO:
This was a fun card, and was inspired by many cards that I saw on the internet that were very similar. The cards I marked and followed most closely were made by Robin Merriman and Dianne Jacobs Cartwright on Stampin Connection (web page for SU Demos). Thank you for your inspiration, ladies!
My recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Tropical Party and Teeny Tiny Wishes
CARDSTOCK:
Old Olive: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Soft Suede: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Crumb Cake: 3-3/4 x 5
Very Vanilla: 2-1/4 x 3
Soft Suede: 2-3/8 x 3-1/8
Scraps: Very Vanilla and Soft Suede
INK: Soft Suede, Old Olive, also Soft Suede and Old Olive Markers
ACCESSORIES: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Color Spritzer Tool, Sponge, Hemp Twine, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Metallic Brads, Dimensionals
I am saving this card for my nephew's birthday this month (September). He and his wife are taking a late honeymoon to Hawaii, so I thought it would be a good card for him. I also thought that this would be a great retirement card, especially for a masculine retirement.
Thanks for looking!
Happy stampin and scrappin,

Swap Cards
I participated in a new catty swap recently with other SU Demos on Stampin Connection (demo web site), and also in a New Hues swap, hosted by my friend, Ellen, and thought I would share those cards with you.
New Catty Swap: Baby Bundle
This was a fun card to make; I wanted a "different" look for a baby card, and really liked the baby carriage in this stamp set. Here is my recipe:
STAMPS: Baby Bundle
CARDSTOCK:
Baja Breeze: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Baja Breeze: 1-3/4 x 4-1/4
Very Vanilla: 3-5/8 x 4
Scraps: Watercolor, Very Vanilla, Early Expresso
INK: Stazon Black, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso Marker
ACCESSORIES: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Word Window Punch, Sponge, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals, SAMJ, Color Spritzer Tool, Very Vanilla Brads, Aqua Painter
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (it is my new favorite punch, as I say whenever something new comes out!) and have a feeling I will use it a lot!
NEW CATTY SWAP: PLAYFUL PIECES (HOSTESS LEVEL THREE)
This card really stretched my brain, trying to come up with a creative way to use all the little stamps in this set (my brain needs stretching, so this was a good thing). But I really liked the way it turned out; it does require a lot of cutting, though! Here is my recipe:
STAMPS: Playful Pieces, Short and Sweet
CARDSTOCK:
Crumb Cake: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (score at 4-1/4)
Early Espresso: 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
Crumb Cake: 4 x 5-1/4
Early Espresso: 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 (three pieces)

July Play Day Double Pocket Card
At our July Play Day, we made a double pocket card. I made it a flat card, with a tag insert, and a second pocket that could hold a gift card, check, money, or another smaller tag. Here is a picture of what we created:
I used the Double Pocket Card Tutorial by Beate Johns on Splitcoast Stampers, then made some minor changes in the way I made my card. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, and it was perfect for this card! Here is a recipe for our card:
CARDSTOCK AND PAPER:
Baja Breeze 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Pear Pizzazz 4 x 5-1/4
Whisper White 5 x 11-1/4 (score at 3-3/4 and 7-1/2)
Greenhouse Gala DS Paper: 3 panels 3-5/8 x 2-1/8
Scraps of Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Greenhouse Gala
For the Tag: Chocolate Chip 2-7/8 x 4 and Whisper White 2-3/4 x 3-7/8
INK:
Chocolate Chip
STAMPS:
Fundamental Phrases
PUNCHES:
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Scallop Trim Border Punch
Scallop Oval Punch
1-3/4 x 7/8 Oval Punch
1-3/8 x 5/8 Oval Punch
Corner Rounder Punch
1-1/4 Circle Punch
Cropadile
OTHER ACCESSORIES:
Metallic Brads (Antique Brass)
Dimensionals
Paper Piercer
Mat Pack
Chocolate Chip Ribbon (Retired)
Sticky Strip
Place the 5 x 11-1/4 Whisper White cardstock on your cutter and score at 3-3/4 and 7-1/2.
Trim 1-7/8 from the top of two panels (see picture):
Next trim 7/8" from the top of the end panel that has already been cut down. Your cardstock will look like this:
Fold your score lines mountain valley style, so your cardstock looks like:
Adhere trim to the bottom panel of your Designer Series paper:
Adhere your 3 panels of Designer Series paper to your Whisper White Cardstock base:
Now your card should look something like this:
Unfold your first pocket and add Sticky Tape to the side and bottom of the pocket flap:
Take the tape liner off, fold the pocket back and adhere to the pocket base. Unfold the second pocket and add Sticky Tape to the side and bottom of the pocket flap. Then take the tape liner off, fold the pocket back and adhere to the pocket base as well.
Your card should look something like this:
Adhere your Pear Pizzazz cardstock to your Baja Breeze Cardstock. Adhere the finished Pocket Base to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and add your sentiment, which has been stamped, punched and adhered together:
Adhere the two layers of your tag together, after the corners of both layers have been corner rounded. Add trim (I used a circle punch of the Greenhouse Gala DS Paper and a strip of Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to my tag, then punched a hole through the center of the Greenhouse Gala DS Paper and tied a strip of Whisper White 3/8" Taffetta ribbon through it).
This card could be used as a birthday or anniversary or thank you card, since the sentiment on the outside says "For You". You could be more specific on the inside punch by adding another stamped or handwritten sentiment. It would be a great card to have on hand for a last minute gift!

Cat Sympathy and Wedding Cards!
I know, that makes quite a combination! But one of my friends lost their cat last week, so I made a cat sympathy card. If you are not an animal person, you just won't understand, but that is OK!
This card is made with the C is for Cat stamp set. My recipe follows:
STAMPS:
C is for Cat
Teeny Tiny Wishes
CARDSTOCK:
Crumb Cake 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
Very Vanilla 3-3/4 x 4-1/4
Soft Suede 3-7/8 x 4-3/8
Scraps of Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler
INK:
Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad
Basic Black Classic Ink Pad
ACCESSORIES:
Sponge
Perfect Details Texturz Plate
Big Shot
1-3/4 Circle Punch
2-3/8 Circle Scallop Punch
Paper Piercer and Mat Pack
Dimensionals
Linen Thread
My daughter has a friend who is getting married in Hawaii, and asked me to make her a wedding card. I actually made two, and thought I would share them here. I don't know her friend, so thought I would make a cute one and a more traditional one, and let my daughter choose which one to give her:
WEDDING CARD NO. 1:
OK, this is the "cute" one! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this owl punch, and have already had SO much fun playing with it! Here is my recipe for this card:
STAMPS:
Tropical Party
Fundamental Phrases
Its A Shore Thing
Whimsical Words
CARDSTOCK:
Tempting Turquoise 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Creamy Caramel 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 (this is the ONLY color for sand, even if it is retired!)
Scraps:
Creamy Caramel
Whisper White
Soft Suede
Pumpkin Pie
Old Olive
Rose Red
Tempting Turquoise
INK:
Creamy Caramel Classic Ink Pad
Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink Pad
ACCESSORIES:
Owl Punch
Word Window Punch
Itty Bitty Punch Pack
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Pearls
This card has to be seen in person to really be appreciated. The flowers in the girl's hair and on the guy's jacket have small pearls in them, and the girl's dress has a strip of the dotted scallop ribbon border punch on it. It turned out really cute!
WEDDING CARD NO. 2:
This is the more traditional card, and it is super fast and easy. I saw a similar card, I think on Splitcoast Stampers, and if you see this and you made the original, or know who did, please let me know so I can give proper credit. I like to give credit to those whose work I CASE!
STAMPS:
Fundamental Phrases
Whimsical Words
CARDSTOCK:
Whisper White: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Pear Pizzazz: 3-7/8 X 4-7/8
Whisper White: 3-3/4 x 4-3/4
INK:
Pear Pizzazz
ACCESSORIES:
White Organza Ribbon 5/8" (Non-SU)
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder
Big Shot
Scallop Edge Punch
Pearls
This card turns out VERY PRETTY and is fast and easy. If you know the wedding colors, it is simple to make it to go with any color scheme.
Thanks for looking at today's creations!

More Random Cards!
I've been busy cleaning up my craft room; I'm taking my time, sorting, discarding, and finding homes for all my craft stuff, then labeling where I put things, so that one day soon I can say that it is organized. Right now, it still looks like a disaster with everything all over the place. But I have a few more cards to share with you!
Yesterday on Stampin Connection I saw someone's card (I just looked it up--her name is Megan Anderson; I like to give credit to those who have inspired me!) that had made a penguin out of the Owl punch, and, since my friend who LOVES penguins hasn't been feeling very good, I thought I would make her a card! This is how it turned out:
Aren't they SOOOOOO cute? I love all the cards I am seeing using this punch! Here is my card recipe (there isn't much stamping on this one):
STAMPS: Teeny Tiny Wishes
PAPER:
Marina Mist 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2
Whisper White 3 x 4-1/4, 2-1/4 x 4-1/4, 1-1/2 x 4-1/4
Scraps of Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red Cardstock
ACCESSORIES: Owl punch, Sponge, Marina Mist Classic Ink, Three Heart Punch, 1/8" Marina Mist Ribbon
I made the second card for a swap recently that my friend, Ellen, hosted. It was a Kraft/Crumb Cake swap, and the only requirement was that we use Kraft/Crumb Cake in our creation. Here is what I made:

I made my third card while I was getting ready for Play Day last month. I really like to make more than one card with each stamp set that I use, and then choose the best card I come up with to make at Play Day. This card was greatly inspired by a card I saw on Stampin Connection (a Stampin Up Demo web site where we can share our creations) and uses the Tropical Party stamp set:
My recipe for this card:
STAMPS: Tropical Party, Fundamental Phrases

Two Tag Die Box
We made this cute Two Tag Die Box at our June Play Day, and I promised to share it here on the blog, so here it is!
I saw a basket made like this (with different stamps and colors) on Stampin Connection, the web site Stampin Up provides for demos to share their projects. A lady named Dawn Olchefske had made the box, and I followed directions she had on her blog, Stampin with Dawn (I think I have the blog name right).
First, I cut two of the large tag from the Two Tag Die with my Big Shot, using Old Olive cardstock. I also cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock 2-7/8 x 6-3/4 for the sides of the box. I scored it at 1/2 along the long sides of the strip, and 2" from each end. Then I stamped with Old Olive Ink, using the Embrace Life stamp set (now retired). It looked something like this:
I added sticky strip to the bottom of the two tags, and along both 1/2" scores of the rectangle piece, which looked like this:
Next I folded the rectangle at the score lines, then snipped where the score lines intersected:
I removed the red liner from the end pieces of one side of the rectangle, and taped it so it formed a "U":
I removed the red liner from the bottom, and set the "U" on top of one tag, to tape it together to form a box:
I removed the tape from the bottom of the Two Tag Die piece, and taped it to the bottom of the "U", then repeated the above steps on the other side of the box. I cut a 7/8" x 6-3/4" handle from Basic Black cardstock, stuck one end through the slot in the Two Tag Die, poked a hole with a paper piercer, and fastened it with a silver Vintage brad, then repeated the process on the other side.
I stamped the flower on Watercolor paper, and watercolored it using an Aqua painter and Real Red Reinker. I also stamped the flower on Always Artichoke cardstock and cut out two leaves for the flower. I used a white gel pen to color the small round parts of the flower, after it had dried, then cut it out, attached the leaves, and used dimensionals to attach it to the box.
I used Old Olive ink to stamp the tissue paper, then added it to my box.
If you want to coordinate larger pieces of tissue paper for gift bags, try stamping the image around the edges of the tissue paper. I think it looks very neat!
And here is our finished box!
Thanks for looking! This is my first attempt at taking pictures of the various steps of a project, and I wish I had taken a few more pictures, but hope it makes sense anyway!!!
Happy stampin and scrappin!
