PLAYING IN THE RAIN FUN FOLD!

 Hi, Friends,

I wanted to share a card I made for a monthly swap I am in.  The group is organized into small groups, and each member sends a card to the other members once a month.  It is fun to get cards in the mail each month!

I used the stamp set Playing in the Rain and used the same fun fold I used for the Irresistible Blooms card I posted on March 11.

MY RECIPE:

     STAMPS:  Playing in the Rain

     CARDSTOCK:

          CARD BASE:

               Crumb Cake:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 1-1/4 and 4-1/4

          FRONT:

              Mango Melody:  2-3/4 x 5-1/4

               Rain or Shine DSP:  2-5/8 x 5-1/8

               Mango Melody:  2-1/8 x 3-15/16

               Basic White:  2 X 3-3/4

          SCRAPS:  Basic White

          INSIDE:

               Mango Melody:  4 x 5-1/4

                Rain or Shine DSP:  1 x 5-1/8

               Basic White:  2-3/4 x 5-1/8

               Mango Melody:  1 x 5-1/4

               Rain or Shine DSP:  7/8 x 5-1/8

     INK:  Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo

BLENDS:  Pool Party (D), Flirty Flamingo (D), Gray Granite (L), Petal Pink (L), Mango Melody (D)

DIES:  Playing in the Rain Dies

ACCESSORIES:  Stampin’ Up! Die Cut Machine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

HOW I MADE IT:

  1. Use Early Espresso ink to stamp signature stamp on back of card base.
  2. Adhere Mango Melody Cardstock to inside of card base.  Fold the front of the card base shut and adhere the Rain or Shine DSP strip to the Mango Melody Cardstock.
  3. Stamp flowers using Early Espresso ink on bottom of Basic White Cardstock.  Color using markers.
  4. Adhere Basic White Cardstock to the Mango Melody Cardstock.
  5. Adhere Rain or Shine DSP strip to Mango Melody Cardstock strip.  Adhere to small flap on left side.
  6. Use liquid glue or Tear n Tape on each end of small flap to make small pocket (or adhere it shut if you wish).
  7. Adhere Rain or Shine DSP to Mango Melody Cardstock; adhere to front of card base.
  8. Stamp sentiment to lower right corner of Basic White Cardstock (landscape) using Flirty Flamingo ink.  Stamp rabbit image using Early Espresso ink on left side of sentiment panel.  Color water using Pool Party marker.
  9. Adhere sentiment panel to Mango Melody Cardstock.
  10. Adhere sentiment panel to card base (ADHERE ONLY TO FRONT PANEL).
  11. Use Early Espresso ink to stamp rabbit image on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Color using markers.
  12. Attach rabbit to sentiment panel using dimensionals.
  13. Stamp umbrella using Early Espresso ink on scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  Cut out using die and SU Die Cut Machine.  Color using markers.
  14. Cut off part of umbrella handle.  Adhere to sentiment panel.
  15. Add rhinestones (see sample for placement).

Thanks for stopping by to see this cute project!

Happy stamping,
Linda
