Hi friends,
Today I am sharing the fourth project we made at September Play Day. This project was CASED, almost exactly, from a beautiful card crafted by Amy Storrie.
Here is the project:
TIP: If you try to make one of these cards, be sure to save the little cutouts from the "e" and the "y" so you can glue them to your card. Otherwise, it looks kind of strange! Also, add a piece of wax paper between the cardstock and the framelit when you run it thru the Big Shot, it makes removing the little pieces much easier!!!
My recipe:
STAMPS: A Banner Christmas, Joyful Christmas (inside sentiment)
CARDSTOCK:
Textured Smoky Slate: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Pool Party: 4 x 5-1/4
Silver Glimmer Paper: 2-3/4 x 4-3/4
Whisper White: 2-1/2 x 4-1/2
Pool Party: 3-3/4 x 5
Whisper White: 3-5/8 x 4-7/8
INK: Encore Silver
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy stampin and scrappin,
Linda
ACCESSORIES: Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Dimensionals, Expression Thinlit Die, Big Shot, Wax Paper, Monoadhesive Liquid Glue, Paper Piercer

Just wanted to share another of our September Play Day projects with you. This one uses the Circle Thinlit Framelit set, which is now available from Stampin Up. It is really fun and easy to use! Here is our project:
This card is very pretty, the ornament and scalloped circle are popped up with dimensionals. Here is another view:
The white section gives you a nice place to write a message or to just sign your name. The third vies of this card, which shows the back of the circle with the stamped sentiment:

September 2013 Play Day Projects, Project Two
The bow die for the Big Shot was introduced at the Stampin Up Annual Convention this year, and one of the samples they showed at that time was a card very similar to this one:
I basically just changed the card from a birthday card to a Christmas card. I also saw a similar card on Julie Davidson's blog and she has an excellent video tutorial if you are interested in making this card.
When the card opens up, it looks like this:
A gift card is attached to the inside part that comes up when the card is opened! The reason you sww the sentiment on the framelit piece is that I forgot to stamp the sentiment until after my card was together and I found out that it doesn't stamp well when you try to stamp with a bow on the other side! So I fixed the awful stamping by restamping the sentiment and cutting it out with the little framelit, then covering my mistake!
My recipe for this card:
STAMPS: A Gift for You (single stamp), More Merry Messages
CARDSTOCK:
Crumb Cake: 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 1-1/2 and 7
Crumb Cake: 3-5/8 x 5, scored at 1/4 and 4
Season of Style DSP: 1-1/4 x 4
Silver Glimmer Paper: 1 x 4-1/4
Old Olive: 1/4 x 4-1/4
Scraps: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
INK: Baked Brown Sugar
ACCESSORIES: Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Gift Bow Die, Big Shot, Large Scallop Edgelit, Label Bracket Punch, Linen Thread, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Glue Dots, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Thanks for stopping by!
