Wondrous Wreath September Play Day Project

Hi, Friends!

Today I am sharing another project from September Play Day, a card I CASED from Wendy Johnson (www.pinkanddotty.co.uk, post dated August 26, 2014) which I found on Pinterest, one of my favorite internet sites.

I LOVE the stamp set Wondrous Wreath, with its coordinating framelits.  It is so much fun to stamp the wreath, without using a Stamp-a-majig, and have it look so fabulous.  The little tabs at the top of the stamps and the framelits make lining it up a breeze.  So here is a picture of the project we made:

The inside of the card looks like this:

My recipe for this card:

STAMPS:  Wondrous Wreath

CARDSTOCK:
     Mossy Meadow:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
     Whisper White:  4-1/4 x 5-1/2
     Cherry Cobbler:  3-3/4 x 5
     Whisper White:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8
     SCRAPS:  Whisper White

INK:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow

ACCESSORIES:  Top Note Die, Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Dimensionals, Rhinestones, Big Shot

Happy stampin and scrappin,

For All Things September Play Day Project!

Today I am sharing with you the second project from our September Play Day, which is a CASE of a project in the September/October issue of Stampin Success (a magazine for Stampin Up! demonstrators):

You can't really tell in the picture, but the Crushed Curry panel is popped up with dimensionals.  This is a quick and easy card.  I kept the inside of the card simple:

Here is my recipe:

STAMPS:  For All Things, Gorgeous Grunge

CARDSTOCK:
     Sahara Sand:  4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
     Crushed Curry:  3-3/4 x 5
     Very Vanilla:  3-1/2 x 4-3/4

INK:  Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand

MARKER:  Crushed Curry

ACCESSORIES:  Linen Thread, Color Me Autumn Washi Tape, Gold Basic Metal Buttons, Dimensionals, Dental Floss Threader

Tip:  It is MUCH easier to thread Linen Thread, Baker's Twine or other small threads thru a button or small hole with a Dental Floss Threader.  You can find them with the toothpaste/tooth brushes at most stores.  They are a plastic loop, there are about 75 - 100 in a case and cost around $3.00.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy stampin and scrappin,
Linda

Holiday Home for FMS #152!

Today was Play Day at my house, and this was one of the cards that we made:

This card was designed using the sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches:

You can find their challenge here.  This is the very first time I have played along with a sketch challenge, although I often use sketches.

I lightly sponged the torn "snow" in the smaller panel with Soft Sky, popped the small panel up with dimensionals, and added small rhinestones to the top of the Christmas trees.
My recipe for this card:
