July Play Day!

Just wanted to share the projects we did for July Play Day this past Saturday. We had fun, and I enjoyed the four projects.

Project One: Crazy for Cupcakes Birthday Card:

We used Not Quite Navy, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Real Red, and Whisper White Cardstock. The Cupcake Wheel was inked in Old Olive and run across the Old Olive pieces.

Project Two: Cheep Talk Notecard:

We used Kraft, Old Olive, and Whisper White cardstock to make this cute notecard. The Whisper White cardstock was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texture Plate. Melon Mambo and Old Olive Ink were used on the flower, and I added a white brad to the center of the flower, and Old Olive Brads to the top corners.

Project Three: Scallop Edge Medallion Flight of the Butterfly Notecard:

I LOVE this technique! It looks fancy but is simple and easy to do. Splitcoast Stampers has a tutorial to show you how. We used Tea Party DS Paper, along with So Saffron and Almost Amythest Cardstock to make this card. It is 4-1/2" square.

Project Four: Pocket Silhouette Spiral Bound Notebook

Soft Suede cardstock and ribbon were used on this project. The circle stamp from Circle Circus was inked in soft suede and stamped onto the cover. Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke and So Saffron cardstock was also used.
Thanks for looking!

Cards I've Been Creating!

Just wanted to share a couple of cards that I have been creating and finally finished!

I've been making sets of five cards and envelopes to put in cello bags with a topper for gifts. This one uses Brocade Blue and Mellow Moss. I LOVE Mellow Moss, but haven't used it in a LONG time. Very Versatile was the stamp set that I used on this card.

My second card is this one:

I used an old Hostess Set from Stampin Up called A Little Bit of Happiness for this card. The base is Kraft, and I also used Ruby Red and So Saffron and Watercolor paper. After I stamped the flowers with Black Stazon, I watercolored with reinkers and my old faithful aqua painter! I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red and So Saffron reinkers.

While I was working on this card, I had adhered the stamped watercolor paper to the Kraft base and was paper piercing above the stamped image and realized that I was piercing through both layers of the card base! I was VERY upset and put the card aside for about 24 hours so I could calm down and redo it.
